Our Story
Founded with Compassion, Built on Trust
Bravo Personal Care Services began in 2016, inspired by Janet Phillips, LCSW, and her personal experience of caring for her father at home for 12 years. Janet saw the gaps in affordable, reliable home care and set out to create a service that prioritizes dignity, compassion, and quality.
From its humble beginnings as a one-person operation, Bravo has grown into a trusted provider of non-medical home care services for seniors, veterans, and their families in Sacramento. Our mission is to help seniors age safely and comfortably at home while staying connected to their loved ones and community.
At Bravo, we recruit, train, and monitor caregivers to ensure the highest standards of care. Our team assists with both Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), addressing a wide range of needs, including:
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and ambulation.
- Cooking, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation.

- We had the privilege of caring for a WWII Army photographer who captured the Japanese surrender. Our caregivers provided him with the dignity of remaining at home until his passing, while his wife found respite in weekly gatherings with friends.
- We supported a Tuskegee Airman, a Black WWII pilot, helping him avoid institutionalization and pass away peacefully at home.
- A Vietnam veteran, who bravely volunteered for dangerous missions, trusted Bravo to provide the compassionate care he needed to stay safe and comfortable at home.
